“The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?”
“Don’t be afraid”
Struggling with fear is more common than you think. Many people struggle with fear of different kinds for different reasons. Much off the word today is living in fear over a virus they worry about catching themselves or spreading to someone they love. Many are also afraid of losing their homes, businesses or relationships, if they don’t comply with the mandates of their state or county. #Fear is a powerful weapon that can take down the strongest person, community or nation.
But, Living in fear is not something God wants or designed us to do. If the Lord is my light, my strength and my salvation, why then am I afraid? Remember, “no weapons formed against me shall prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV) Even if all of my freedoms are taken from me, they cannot take my relationship with Christ or my #salvation. My faith is my own and it is enough…Jesus is enough!
This psalmist knew that his focus should be on God and His promises, not on the fears of this world. Live now for the day that we begin forever in His presence and dwell in the house of the lord
“Be confident”
“Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.”
No Matter how bleak the times may seem, no matter how uncertain our future on this earth, God has a plan and we are part of it. Have confidence that He sees your struggles, He hears your #prayers, and He is preparing a place for you. Even earn you cannot see Him moving, He is already laying down the path you will walk.
“Trust in the Lord”
If you are truly afraid of something, then you are not allowing God to take care of that situation. He’s got this! And, so do you. Remember, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13 NKJV)
Trust Him and He will take care of you.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Crafty Time
I did not originally plan to have a craft along with this study. then, of course, the Lord took something I was working on and put it together just for this series. the "No Fear" series is a 3 part devotional. Therefore, this craft with come in three parts as well. to be fair, I should warn you to choose a color palate (several colors that work well together) and stick to it for each project since they will all Coe together in the end. Or, if you prefer, you may wait until Part 3 and do the entire project all at once. (You choose)
I used these colors (yes, all of them)
Choose a back ground for your page 6"x8"
Choose a secondary background to add contrast.
Feel free to add lace, ribbon, sparkles or other details...
Download the cut pattern in Cricut Design Space and start cutting.
Set your put-together pieces aside for the next blog post!
Tips for how to put your project together will be posted in video form at the end of Part 3
Have an awesome day little sparrows and remember...No Fear!
